Thanks for posting. Tesla was shafted by Edison in the same way Curtis was shafted by the Wright Brothers.

No he wasn't. Tesla was a wack job that didn't do his fricking job for Edison. Edison asked him to work on DC and he brought him AC. He didn't invent it, he went with improving a technology Edison didn't want. The kicker, Edison never met the pigeon fricker. Yeah, he fricked pigeons years later.
Also, he stole the tech he worked on while employed by Edison and took it to Westinghouse where he made lots of money. In today's world he would have been sued out his eccentric celebrity wannabe arse.
Let the downvotes start from uneducated fricks who read Reddit meme's.

Says the guy typing on a computer powered by AC.

The irony is lost on you isn't it?

American Experience is the great underrated program on PBS.

So when the battery dies, do you replace the battery or charge it?
Charge it with a solar panel that uses DC.
Sometimes in my car that uses an ICE to generate DC power

That was transmitted to you via AC. Without Tesla we’d all have to live close to the power plant.

That's absurd. He didn't create AC.

I thought AC/DC was an Australian band?

It's ok. We all make miss steaks.

I think it's fair to say that he was a brilliant man, but it's also fair to say that more is made of him than was really there. You read some about him or watch some docs, and he comes across pretty much like a mythological figure.
I'm no expert (by any stretch) on the science behind it. However, it is my understanding that he had some incredibly outlandish ideas that never really had a chance of feasibly working, and people just run with it that the only thing holding him back from achieving these incredible feats was the proverbial "man" when really his grand ideas just didn't actually work.
