Well the lawyer couple this here thread is about just bowed down to BLM.
It was fun while it lasted.
Meh. Seems to echo what most of us are saying:
quote:
The actions of violence, destruction of property and acts of threatening aggression by a few individuals commingling with the peaceful protesters, gave rise to trepidation and fear of imminent and grave....their actions were borne solely of fear and apprehension, the genesis of which was not race related...

I don’t know how people can tell if it's pre ban or not, but the fun switch is definitely on semi and he's ready to roll.
by pre-ban I mean it looks outdated. Carry handle appears to be built into the upper receiver, fixed A2 stock, rifle length gas system, polymer hand guards... One plausible explanation for why it's not a gucci'd out Noveske is that it might be a select fire weapon.
Or perhaps the guy just isn't a gun nut and he bought the rifle a long time ago

People are upset because you’re (predictably) looking for a way to defend the indefensible.
No, I was just trying to gather more information to make an informed an opinion on it. I still really haven't given my opinion on the situation other than calling both parties stupid - one for tearing down a gate to walk down a gated off street, and one for the woman showing she has no clue how to handle a pistol. The guy wasn't much better having pointed the gun at his own wife a couple of times.
I wasn't getting many answers to my questions here, so I texted my lawyer friend that has dealt with many property disputes. I didn't know he had actually handled a few cases involving gated communities when I texted him. I relayed some of what he told me, and one poster lost his mind demanding my friend's name, and resorting to the typical name-calling this board is good for. And don't take that as me being offended by the name calling. I've been called worse by better people, so they don't phase me and rarely respond to them.

I have more sympathy for the homeowner than the "protestors".
This whole thing is slowly turning into a war of rich vs poor rather than BLM.

Athos is not trolling. He’s a hardcore leftist. He is a good poster on the movie board but man is his brain addled with liberalism.

Huge quandary for the OT. Your Patriots are, gasp, "prominent" personal injury attorneys. The horror!
That's what I was hoping for. Those were their clients in that crowd.

Lester, have you always been a bleeding heart liberal where you condone violence and looting--as long as it was committed by a minority?

I'll take a well built A2 over some TAPCO-fricked thing cobbled together by someone who has no idea what they are doing but wants a show pony to post on AR15.com.

I don't have much for either parties, to be honest.

Whew. Lucky for him they had a lot less confidence of things working out that way than you do.

What did the homeowner do wrong?

I don't blame them for grabbing guns, but they both need a big refresher in gun safety and muzzle awareness.
