Patagonia won’t even make clothing for O&G companies or banks anymore for whatever reason. They’re a private company and have the right to make whatever stance they want but come on now, eventually another brand will come and take their place with those groups they actively push away

What. The. frick.

This is literally the opposite of reality. This is so ridiculous I can't even call them stupid. This is beyond that.

Stay informed. Buy quality products. Keep your head down, provide for your family. Buy arms.

Protests are great. Riots are not. Both groups are in the wrong on this, but the finger pointing is still happening.

A whole lot of us who want to act in accordance with the law and want change through legislation are in trouble if these dummies keep it up.

You can see both sides derangement in action on the political board and in r/politics on reddit. This insanity has to stop sooner or later.

I find virtue signaling to be annoying

I don't really give a shite about the other stuff
So you don't care if a company quietly donates millions of dollars to support causes you disagree with, just as long as you don't have to know about it? That's some epic "head in sand" shite right there.

I love how one group hates rich people then immediately abandon their principles & agree with the rich people who oppose their political rivals.

My plan is to buy acreage as far away from people as possible in WV or Western NC, install a solar and hydro power system, sign up for StarLink, and shitpost while the country burns.

what are you struggling with here?

I get annoyed by constant virtue signaling. I don't like Black Rifle Coffee Company for their constant virtue signaling either.

I assume corporations/companies are donating to all kinds of shite that I probably don't agree with.

if I worried about what politics companies supported, I wouldn't be able to buy much of anything

There is a huge untapped market for conservative oriented products.

Their quality of opinion seems to be decaying even more rapid than the quality of their products have over the last 5 or so years.

Most outdoor clothing and gear companies are because they almost all care deeply about the environment and protecting our natural resources. Most of them aren't as vocal about it as Patagonia is though.

I could live like this too. My wife was always the holdout. The other day she walked outside and told me that at our next and likely final house she didn't want to be able to see any other houses.

What about those of us who just want jackets with NO political positions?

I give two shits about the actual political stances of business owners. Take whatever ones you wish. I don't get the idea behind constantly tying them to your brand, though.

I wish companies didn't get involved with politics.

Except patagonia has been doing this for as long as I can remember. They have always been political and activists.
