I've had that exact Patagonia synchilla pullover for 15 years now and it's still a go to when the weather is brisk. My NF gore-tex shells are nice but the fleece is shite and pills like crazy.

How's Marmot?

Patagonia is better than North Face. You also pay a premium for that. Wear NF to gather firewood while camping. Wear Patagonia at social events to show you (or your family) have some coin.

You could also buy stuff much better than Patagonia, but as others have said, you might need to refinance your house first.

Well Patagonia CEO is publicly anti-oil and gas, which his company depends on, so him and his company can go frick themselves

I don’t mind companies having political opinions. Especially when it comes to outdoor clothing. They’re going to be environmentally conscious.

That being said Patagonia goes really above and beyond to be assholes in the political arena. And hypocrites about oil and gas stuff. Not that others don’t, but they’re especially bad. REI is pretty bad as well but I can buy the same stuff anywhere else.

I stick to Columbia and occasionally North Face. I like Avalanche gear a lot as well. It’s rare find but a good brand.

Most of mine is functional to trail running/hiking or fishing/hunting so I don’t have use for an overpriced pullover.

Don’t judge anybody that wears it, just don’t need outdoor fashion advice from a frat kid that couldn’t clean a deer.

Patagonia is anti oil/fracing, so they can eat a dick.
