Yeah, and the Supreme Court has gotten a fricking shitload of decisions wrong as well.

What time is Judge Crifasi holding a contempt of court hearing?

Contempt hearings are messy. More likely that the state's already filed Motion to Revoke Bail would be set for a hearing.

Then you should make it clear that's what you're arguing.

My first post:

I don’t agree with the government giving itself power to strip my constitutional freedoms whenever it sees fit.

I never argued that the government hasn’t gone to great legal lengths to be able to restrict our rights during emergencies. They most certainly can and do.

I am for minimal government and maximum personal responsibility.

A federal judge already struck down a police chiefs ruling that a Greenville MS church could not hold services in their parking lot. Don’t be so sure you have accurately interpreted the Bill of Rights.

You misunderstand. My point was simply that courts have the authority to make those determinations. Vader has refused to acknowledge that point.

The premise that you would have to be a legal expert to understand the first amendment is ridiculously flawed.

Sure, but the premise that he’s a better authority than the guy ignoring judicial review is pretty undeniable.

I've already given you the map to navigate the forest; I'm disinclined to hold your hand as well.

Using a map to test something that is self-evident is unproductive.

The government has issued a stay at home order to everyone. Narrowly tailored?

Except that “stay at home” isn’t actually what is ordered. But you know that already.

For the record though, I’m a Christian. My problem with Spell is that he’s a narcissist sociopath that’s misusing religion to feed his need for attention and convince people to give him their stimulus check.

Oh no doubt these types exist. I dont know this guy or know anyone that goes to his church. Thats a separate issue I dont care about right now. This is a pure govt overreach issue. If we cant assemble for church, then everything else should be closed too. Walmart, Lowes, gas stations, no restaurants, etc. It makes no sense. And btw, I support my churches decisions to hold services online and think this is the safest thing to do but I also defend this guys rights to hold services. If people think they are at risk they can stay home but the state should not make that decision for me.

They don’t make unanimous decisions very often either. Neither of those things have anything to do with the point you’re responding to though.

I think the whole quarantine is an outrageous power grab by state governments. Luckily, governors can be held accountable through elections. Unfortunately, we can do very little to directly effect federal judges.

The Roman Emperors? Why don't you tell us about the 300 years here. Or the 80 years which have passed since the "Slippery Slope" "man them words is vague!!1!1!" case I cited. Do you feel oppressed?

Because Christianity has 1700 plus years on the United States, and will either end at the same time or be along a lot longer when the United States is long gone.

That knowledge is actually pretty liberating, you seem to feel rather oppressed however.
