That's just a factor of the opacity. The real problem is what the pollution consists of, and at what concentrations it can be found. Many air toxics are invisible and odorless.

Isn't it hilarious that enviro-wackos work every day making it harder for American companies to do business in America, making it ever more likely that the business will move to China, where absolutely no fricks are given regarding the environment?

I was more referring to other types goods. However, you do bring up a good point that current electric car technology is not nearly as green as people think. That being said, I believe that will improve especially as selling these cars becomes more profitable.

Right. After they have created rules, regulations, and laws which double, triple, quadruple and more, the cost of producing whatever the product may be. Kind of hard to lament the lack of a local option when you've wrecked the viability of the local option, unless you're a lib.
