As far as anything running off oil products:
Increased cost (initial, fuel, and repair)
Increased maintenance
Decreased fuel efficiency
Decreased reliability
If you ran anything from lawn equipment to a fleet of trucks to heavy equipment, you took a big hit for 10 years
