Looks like there might be a small white crane of some kind out there in the air now.
That’s just your imagination. RimRod the expert said that a mobile crane could never reach the top of those tower cranes.

lol, how high is the tower crane? I had close to 400' for a lift we made last fall on a 1500T.

It’s only 240’ max. I love the message board experts that don’t know shite and call you names. He’s just ignorant.

I see a man basket.
Obviously that crane isn’t going to do much scoped out at that height.

Do any of the NOLA news channels have a live streaming webcam of the site?

Remediation was already performed on this building. Would love to see something happen with this.

Watching the live stream, looks like they're going with a deconstruction method.
There are some papers written about this method that are worth a read. Used a lot in earthquake damage situations.
Edit: upon further watching, they aren't doing anything. Wasn't aware that one crane still has a beam hanging from it. My mistake.

Who gives a shite about the streets at this moment? They will repair them if necessary when done
Posted on 10/17/19 at 10:44 am to oilmanNO
They need a couple of these baws to go up there and dismantle the cranes

Big hydraulic concrete munching machine.
Wonder if they are trying to clear some of the slabs around the crane tower.

Nah, flattening them out and leveling the pot holes will likely make them better. Have you ever driven in NOLA?

They must be swapping the bucket. The one it’s on has no reach.
