Parking violation: when to call Sheriff?

Hi All,
Some unknown elderly person parked his car next to my mailbox yesterday morning and left in another car. Seems he had problems with this car's tire (white Infiniti QX60). One of the tires is spare and I thought he would return soon but the car is still there blocking mailbox access for USPS for now 24 hrs. The car is parked against traffic too. My house is at a junction of two neighborhood streets and anything parked at that spot has nice visibility from far.
I am worried about that person and this vehicle too. I called my neighborhood association and was told to call the Sheriff today. How long would you wait in this case (and given these holidays) to call the Sheriff's office?
Thanks

I would wait and call Monday if it's still there. You'll miss one day of mail.

Call the sheriff and see if they can contact the person. You don't necessarily need to have it towed. Just see if they can tell them they got 48 hours or whatever.

24 hours and you’re gonna call the po-po??? Baw….its the holidays. Give the old man 2 days at least.

Sounds like a drug deal type thing.

I would personally probably wait a few days. There is nothing important coming in my mail.

Is there a strong smell coming from the trunk of the car?

This baw is soft. If he broke down in my hood, we’d rally to help the old man. When he came back, his car would be ready to go.

The Sheriff ain't gonna do shite if you call.

I wouldn’t wait. If some random car was left in front of my house I’d wait 24 hours before calling.

Do you run a golf course and take cars as collateral for initiation fees?

Hook up a chain to his car and to your Prius and pull the car away from your mailbox. After that and only after that you can write the owner one of your hoa parking violations.
If your Prius can’t handle the job shove a mattress under the car and light it. That’ll show em you mean business.

I have a thread about a parking violation that got some good traffic… I wouldn’t call, not please until after the holiday.
Anyone who read that other thread, the tow truck driver had a million cops at his house a few weeks/couple months ago, I haven’t seen him or his truck since. He was parking a smaller company truck illegally after the huge wrecker was officially deemed illegal by BRPD, the Sheriff and BR’s legal council…. But it wasn’t in my way so idgaf

You should just be understanding of the situation and move your mailbox. It wouldn’t take long.

What do the holidays have to do with anything? Not like it’s blocking the mailbox Christmas Day when nothing is happening.

Do you not know that when you park on a street, you are required to park facing the way you would drive?
But who gives a frick in reality?

Never heard of that, and never seen it enforced.
