You are the scum of the earth.
Currently at lunch with my brother, and the kid at the table behind us is watching Grease...at full volume...while dancing around the table...

I understand that kids will be kids but Jesus Christ, parents... do you not understand the simple idea of being respectful in a public place??? Do a better job.

Thank you for listening. I’ll hang up and listen off air.

The parents often looked like the most whooped puppies where the children run over them as parents .

Zero decorum in public.

It’s why I often eat with headphones in, so I don’t have to hear this shite and let it ruin my meal due to parents not parenting their kids

I dk about scum of the earth but I agree that it is pretty terrible and is a bad precedent to set for your kids.

Hell we already correct our 1 yr old when he yells or does something you shouldn't at a restaurant.

He doesn't listen to us yet, but at least we are trying

There was a kid in wal-mart the other day watching a video on a phone/tablet with the volume at max. You could hear it two aisles over, and yes it annoyed me. I thought about coming here to post about it, but i would have to log on, type something up, hit submit -- all that crap I didn't feel like doing when I was off work.

I'm surprised you weren't in the 15 items or less line at the grocery store while this was happening and the parents had 2 shopping carts full of doritos and cokes.

Totally understand! It seems damn near every time my wife and I go out to eat we run into this. It's almost like the parent is using the phone as a damn babysitter. We were at a reasonably nice place for supper Friday night, kid probably 5/6 was watching something on full blare, he was eating french fries and dropped the phone right in the ketchup, the mom went ballistic it was truly amazing, after that little johnny had to put the phone down and eat!

It was the first one.
Funny enough, they waited until Travolta and Olivia Newton were done singing “you’re the one that I want” before packing their shite up and leaving.

It seemed like the ultimate frick you. Kinda like “suck my dick, we came here for dinner and a movie and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

That's how you start at least. The problem is 2 fold: Devices are babysitters for lazy parents and kids don't know how to handle being bored.

I'm against all electronics at the table. Sorry, not sorry. Sit your arse down and shut up. Learn to be bored. You don't need to be entertained every second.

Okay. I qualify.

My kids were not allowed to act like heathen little bastards in public.

"Parents" who allow their little shite stains to run wild in public are scum.
