quote:went out to eat last week at a very loud restaurant, the kind where the music is too loud, kitchen is too loud and acoustics are already bad. My oldest was bored because service took over an hour. I let him use my phone and didn't pay attention after that, when the little band took a break it got a little quieter and he had a youtube video blaring. I am hard on my kids and their behavior generally, I felt about an inch tall. Anyone that would have cut me ugly looks would have been correct, I deserved their scorn.
I dk about scum of the earth but I agree that it is pretty terrible and is a bad precedent to set for your kids.
Hell we already correct our 1 yr old when he yells or does something you shouldn't at a restaurant.
He doesn't listen to us yet, but at least we are trying

Oh, and don't forget the parents who bring their 2 or under kid to the restaurant and then let the little heathen scream and cry to the top of their lungs for 30 minutes.
Hire a baby sitter or at least have the decency to take the kid out.

The same parents are talking loudly on their phones on speakerphone
That should explain it all

I once solved that problem on a train in France by playing GOT the same way. It’s a roundabout way to teach them the logic of not being disruptive.

I've turned into an s.o.b. about this in public. I either give a look, politely ask them to lower it, tell the rest. manager, or give them the attention they want and post it online.
