Ours is almost 3 and we read to her every night and she loves it (and so do we). I hope we get to do it for many more years to come.

My kids are in their 20's and I would read to them tonight if they would let me.

Never had to read to mine much, but my oldest daughter liked for me to play guitar and sing her songs.
Mr. Tambourine Man was her lullaby until she was about 6, so I'm pretty sure I've done that song at least 3,000 times.

Oldest started reading to himself around 9yrs old.

Middle Child is 11 and forces us to lay in bed while she reads.

Youngest is 9 and we alternate reading chapters.

I'm exhausted by all these years of reading books with them but I also know it'll end soon and I'll sort of miss it. But not really. But probably will.

My daughter just turned 2.

We don't read to her before bed yet (we read at other times), but I will sometimes sit in her room in the dark when she goes down to sleep and wait until she falls asleep before I leave.

The 15 or so minutes that I spend sitting there in silence is the absolute favorite part of my day.

What took your kids so long? Mine started reading at 7 months.
