Because parenting is bad.

Sorry, you won't be getting to his kids, bro.

Science has proven that the more strict the parents, the more wild they will be when they get a bit of freedom

To come into threads like these and grace the OT with your vast knowledge on things irrelevant to your own life

read through their texts. They don't like that last part, but we just remind them they're our phone not theirs and we can take them away at any time.

95% of their text convos are harmless teenage talk. The cussing doesn't even really bother me.

If my parents did this I would just be sure to delete anything that I didn’t want them to see before I turned my phone in at night.

I would smash my phone and invoke the 5th amendment, and then sue them for false imprisonment and emotional distress

That's not when we do it. It's random, and we never really ask for their phone to go through. Majority of the time it's just when they leave it lying around somewhere. I don't think we've ever checked their phones at night.

You know there are apps you can get through your phone carrier that lets you do this without you having to physically take their phones away.

All of those listed are absolute poison for young people.

Of course child predators sign up for these apps.

I love how people post they are leaving for a said amount of time. Nice to know no one is home.

Didn’t have to jump straight to that just because we don’t want to see pics of our daughter’s b-hole that she’s sending to the football team

I'm sure that kind of activity is more affective than you know.

There’s a hidden folder that you can’t find though. My daughter showed me how all the teens have their main profile that parents, friends, & family see AND their real profile that only their friends share with each other. Those real Instagram profiles are shocking
