Who the hell would employ the looks of that freak--especially at an elementary school?

Sexual predator, would have killed the parents and taken the little girls.

The smart ones work in teams in national parks (often with help of park employees) and all the people just disappear, and the park service quickly claims they were eaten by bears or succumbed to the elements etc. There are 1000s if not 10,000 of them.

This rocket scientist either didn’t wait for his partner or is just an idiot.

It’s the whole Missing 411 shite, That or it’s portals and aliens, which I hope is true as that’s way better than serial killers and sexual predators

The people on this board man, I swear.

Yeah the hiring staff of this guy…. A 28 year old scary creepy looking male allowed by the county to teach 9 year olds, after being dismissed for in appropriate behavior from another state.

One woman supposedly reported him for touching girls in the classroom. School officials allowed him to resign without warning law enforcement. So much for mandatory reporters. Someone from that school is about to be in hot water.

Interested to see where this goes. Was it just one parent? Was there a witness to something fishy? I ask, because there’s been countless scenarios where someone hates a teacher, they make some shite up, and at the least the teacher is suspended with pay and has a tarnished reputation even if it’s deemed they are innocent.

As far as one district not notifying the other…wouldn’t it be the job of the Arkansas district to contact the previous employer? I suppose he could have lied on a resumé and not even included information. But I don’t think it’s the job of a district to track former employees and where they apply for a new job.

One would think so, but since he resigned,I doubt the school would have told anyone anything about the touching allegation.

Exactly. Seems like the TX district should have dug deeper after hearing reports. And they’re fricked if Springdale called and they have a positive report.

Hats off to the law enforcement agencies for taking care of this in quick order.

schools are mandated reporters for any sexual misconduct (or worse)...i still think that school should face repercussions for just letting this piece of garbage resign without reporting the incident(s)...

My only question is whether there was proof of the misconduct. I am in no way defending this piece of shite. Forcing him to resign suggests there was something that would stick. Why the hell would a school district cut him any slack?

that's what i don't get...i think it's very irresponsible to just cut him loose so he could potentially become someone else's problem...

I think we're missing some information here. There may have been a proof issue, but wouldn't they still have to report it for investigation?

Has anyone reported on more of this guy’s personal history outside of teaching?

I haven’t heard about any family or much of anything before teaching outside of going to Oklahoma State.

Right. Take the report from the parent, report it and let the proper authorities take over from there. Hands clean.

Yes, and the more I think about it…this wasn’t some 15 year old girl who may have had beef. These were elementary school kids. This wasn’t some 25 year teacher with a squeaky clean image. This was a new guy who had little experience.

It can be done in hours with special rush cases. This took top priority for obvious reasons.

There was a lot of evidence against him to begin with, we (law enforcement in the region) had pictures of him almost right out of the gate. He clearly tried to hide his identity so his intent was to evade capture, but he did a piss poor job - thank God.

His identity was known within about 24 hours. The rest of the time spent was squaring up evidence. Then he confessed.

As far as law enforcement goes, this is a perfect solve. It's horrendous and makes you question humanity as a whole, for someone who has no connection and no motive to go out and brutally murder two random strangers with their young kids in tow.

The majority of instances like this, the killer wants to be caught and go down in a standoff with police - a suicide by cop with the most notoriety and media attention possible. This one is just puzzling.
