And they probably are posting in this thread.

I am the golden child of my family, my siblings/cousins admit as much. Kind of by default, but I have accomplished some decent stuff. However, my sibling is providing grandkids and that is an x-factor I simply cannot compete with at the moment.

I'm the favorite. Everyone knows it.

It's particularly common with narcissists, apparently.

You might love all your kids the same, but I don’t doubt that there are some that you would rather hang around with more than others.

Depends on the day. I have a special bond with my first. I don’t know if it’s due to birth order or because he’s exactly like me. But he’s the coolest kid on the block, and if I have to choose who to spend the day with, it’s him. Or maybe it’s because he’s been around longer, so I know him better.

Or maybe I’m terrible and he’s my favorite.

ETA: he’s also my game day date for LSU games, so that has obviously heightened our bond.

You didn’t edit your post

Why did you write ETA? Do you not know what ETA is?

You should probably spend some time with your other children.

They can all hunt and fish and enjoy a good bourbon. But only 2 can make cathead biscuits in a cast iron Dutch oven.

We love them all unconditionally equal, but treat them all differently in regards to age, sex, temperament, etc.

Come back to me when you have two kids: one who screams and demands bottles all day, is sassy as hell, and likes her daddy ten times more than her mama. She may end up being my best friend and partner in pedicure crime in due time, but right now, my son is his mama’s baby boy. It’s probably going to change 100 more times in a decade, so don’t be too worried for them.

I have 3 kids and I like certain things about each one. No favorite by any means.

I know, I don’t even wonder why.

It’s as if you’re not allowed to answer honestly.

I know for a damn fact that I’m my dad’s favorite kid, and my brother is my mom’s favorite. It bothers neither of us because it correlates to how well we get along with them. We know our parents love us, so who cares if we happen to get along a little better with one or the other?

I would do anything in the world for either of my kids. My intense mama bear, will cut or kill you for my kids love doesn’t change due to who I happen to “click” with better at the moment. I think it’s awesome that my tiny, spicy little baby girl adores her father more than me. Their special bond will help ensure her future good decisions in men.

My girls are twins and one is closer to me and the other her mom. I love them both and don't think that is unnatural at all.
