No. Society shouldn’t give people such a platform because their profession just so happens to give them mass exposure.

Are they still role models for plenty of youngsters? Yes
You can think what you want but yes they are role models to kids

If it wasn’t for fans of their work, they would not be able to make money off of their celebrity. Whether directly through ticket or merchandise sales or indirectly through endorsements, celebrities make money off of our interest. Without that many would not be afforded such lavish lifestyles.

Of course not, but it’s in their financial interest to do so: Peyton Manning, Shaq, Jordan, etc.

No but it sure is nice when your kid’s favorite player actually turns out to be a good dude. My favorite growing up was Jose Canseco. I woulda been President if he were a better role model

My kid loves Anthony Rizzo. Luckily he seems to be one of the better humans in sports

Parents are morally obligated to be role models. Wives and girlfriends are justb obligated to be OT models.
