Are you saying these situations are comparable?
Because holy shite if you are.

You can’t see how what Papa John said is different from:
quote:
It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people", and, "You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want", but "the little I ask you is ... not to bring them to my games".
One is actually racist and the other used a naughty word in the most non derogatory way possible.

And it was his PR firm, during an exercise to help him not say stupid shite. Instead of saying "Ok, that right there is something you shouldn't say", they leaked it to the media, terminated a contract, and had to fire 10% of their own employees.
This is so ludicrous it almost sounds fake.
This is the part I can't get over too. What should have been a great teaching moment turned into a small disaster for both companies. The fact that one of those companies is a PR firm is mind-boggling.

The call was a role-playing exercise for Schnatter to prevent future public-relations fumbles.
That's specifically written in the article on CNBC. It's basically The Onion-level.

Not remotely related.

Straight up reads like an Onion article.

Thank God he wasn't reading Mark Twain.

Schnatter is one of those guys that has crosshairs on him by liberals who are just waiting for him to say something "offensive."
Certain groups will look at this and think payday.

This is ridiculous. He basically said "Colonel Sanders did this and no one talks about it, but I blamed the NFL for sales and I get fired". Its true.
It is true, it's ridiculous it was leaked, but this kind of thing can be avoided 1000% if you say "the n-word" instead of the actual damn word. It's poor judgment, no doubt.

Yeah this is pretty crazy. And now the PR firm is running its own campaign to blame Papa for having to fire 10% of their employees

Well, I guess I know what's for dinner tonight!

It is this attitude that has helped us get where we are in the ludicrous PC culture of today

Do you realize how fricking stupid this is?
When you say "the n-word", everyone knows what you mean and they think the word. It's like saying fricking Voldemort or something.

Didn’t your boy Nugget deliver Papa Johns?

Somewhere right now Peyton Manning is mopping that big old forehead with a beach towel. I bet he is glad to GTF away from this guy.
I have learned to stay away from any kind of semi racial conversation.
