I've never done Kenpo before, but based on the name I'm guessing the kicks are even more difficult than mmx which I already don't have the flexibility to pull off
Sprawls don't bother me, used to wrestle and they come pretty natural to me. I actually find that I tend to push myself harder on sprawls. I don't know why, but it just makes me want to go harder when I'm doing them...especially the ones where you're spinning. Maybe it just reminds me of trying to get to someone's back for 2 points

I hated the sprawls, I'd skip them towards the end.

I would love to record myself during MMX. I lose track of what punches/elbows im supposed to be throwing and im all over the place. The sprawls are the only thing I do right

I feel like Bruce Lee, probably look like John Goodman

Sounds really really familiar.

Warrior this morning. It's been a long time since I've done warrior and forgot how tough it was. It only shows up during Block 1 of the classic schedule. I was super pumped to see how I was going to do on my nemesis, elevator push-ups. I was ready to go and then realized very quickly why I hate them so damn much
Doing those things after a round of plank/sphinx/push-ups was brutal. Although I did make it like 30 seconds in this time, which is a hell of a lot better than I did 3 months ago. Still got my arse whooped today, so that was good.

Monday, I am getting back on the P90X pain train. I have been stuck at my current weight for 3 weeks. I need to shock the body and change it up.

same, looks like we're on the same schedule ha.

I made it about 40 seconds. My shoulders just give out after that long. Same with the downward dog cruches. I love it and can really feel it in the core, but my shoulders just can't support being in that position for a full minute.
I have to work a little bit tomorrow but I'm hoping I can get up and do yoga first followed by ab ripper. I have yet to do the x3 ab ripper..how does it compare to the original from p90x?

yeah those down dog crunches will getcha too...although I don't mind those as much. No clue on the ab ripper...I don't think that came with my basic package that I bought.
Tomorrow is my off day, definitely looking forward to it, although I have to get out and mow the grass so I'll at least get to sweat a little bit

I'm doing legs today in p90x. I've read criticisms that it's a bit overkill and that you can't have much muscle of strength growth since most of the squats and lunges are body weight or low weight. The posters advice is doing about half the exercises but with some heavier Dumbbells. Even then you will get minimal gain and that you have to do very heavy barbell squats and deadlifts to get gains.
How much truth is in this?

Alot, but you can vary the resistance with bw. Key is progressive overload. when its bw you do that by leverage. An example is tegular bw squats then progressing to pistol squats.
And for most people, legs grow better in the higher rep range I.e. 20rep squats. Doesnt have to be extremely heavy Just has to be hard for you and you need to be able to progress from session to session either in number of reps or weight. An example of using lighter weight is body beast. Works great for legs with lighter weight.

What's the deal with the guy on the front row in insanity max 30 doing the moves half arse? Is he supposed to be showing people who may not be in the best shape how to do it a little softer?

Yeah, he's a modifier

Any advice on training shoes?

The original, imo.
But, I suggest Body Beast.
I may give BB a look.
After taking a little over a month off of X3, I started the original P90X again this morning. I threw up about 2/3 the way through it. Went back and finished. Has anyone else here had this issue before?

Which routine? A lot of up/down movement?
Taking a month off, you'll have to watch your intensity. P90X is a lot different in terms of intensity as well as length.

Start week 5 of T25 today. Couldn't wake up this am to get it done so hopefully I can squeeze it in today. If not, I'll just double up tomorrow.

I've been using the nike free trainer 5.0 I think they are. They're really light and quite comfortable.
Did agility today, it whooped my arse as usual. those little scissor kick hop things suck so bad. jump knee jump are pretty terrible too. I'm beat after those things typically.
