What is your actual issue?
I get the vibe that a small minority of people on this site really hate the fact that people have the ability to work from home. Add the fact that the person he's talking about is hustling 2-3 remote jobs, it made the veins pop out in his forehead.

Maybe but I seriously doubt it. There aren't enough do nothing roles in corporate America for the norm to be good workers working 2+ 40 hour white collar jobs. Not well anyway.

I’d be curious how he’d show that on his resume. I guess he’d just pick whichever job sounds more prestigious and put just that one on his resume during that time frame.

Rare but doable.
I'm no math whiz but I don't think anyone is working 24-32 hours a day (3-4 full time jobs).
ok well if one job requires you to be at the computer for 8 hours per day but only gives you about 2-3 hours of actual work to do....who cares if they are working other jobs at the same time?
are you paying them to do a job and their labor or are you paying them for their time?

For Reddit that’s damn impressive

This dude’s minds gonna be blown when he hears what firefighters do in their spare time

quote:Well it certainly isn't the "norm" as I'd imagine most companies would fire an employee if they learned about the second job. And it's less about "do nothing" jobs and more about the jobs that require 20 hours of "real work" during one week but only five hours of real work the next week. A lot of competent workers also know how to automate their tasks or get them done in a fraction of the time they actually let on.

Maybe I’m new to the scene. New one for me. All kinds of strategies on how to get and manage multiple full time jobs while WFH.
Pathetic if you ask me.

If you think being ‘loyal’ to a corporation is honorable then you’re a cuck.
They wouldn’t blink twice before laying off your position and thousands of others.

Obviously this discussion needs parameters for the types of jobs were talking about, but many jobs require weekly or biweekly time entry to account for work performed. If anyone is saying they worked 8 when they only worked 3, they are unethical at best, and depending on the role, possibly criminally or civilly liable.

I know people who have done it. One of our managers got caught doing it and was fired. I know of analysts who have done it, not sure if they still do, but definitely wouldn't be shocked.
I could technically do it, but I don't enjoy working 1 job, I sure as shite don't want to work 2
If I was single and had no kids, I'd probably do it because the risk of being found out wouldn't be that big.

That's a simplistic view of time reporting, especially for anyone with profitability goals as part of their job responsibilities.
Some industries charge an hourly rate for their people's time, so fudging numbers is pretty fricked up in that case too.
I hate reporting hours too, but I appreciate it when I'm reviewing my budget.
