My wife’s grandmother is buried at a very famous cemetery in downtown L.A. she’s is in the wall a few spots from Marylin Monroe and now Hugh Hefner. Went out there years ago and walked around it. Lots of famous people buried there.

Coach Bryant.

Also, just did a tour of another cemetery in Birmingham that had actors playing historical figures from the city’s past. My favorite was the redheaded whore from Tuscaloosa who, along with her girls, helped save the city during a cholera epidemic.

Been to Boston, Mount Vernon and Monticello. Also Ben Franklin's in Philly, Alexander Hamilton's and Robert Fulton's at Trinity Church in NYC, various famous generals at USMA and John Paul Jones at USNA. Saw these as part of visit to location not necessarily to visit grave.

I did visit Lee Harvey Oswald's in Fort Worth just out of interest.

You haven’t lived until you visit Marie Laveau’s grave on a 2nd grade public school field trip. Plus you have to make an X with chalk to keep the curse on her and not get on you. Then, brown paper bag lunch in Jackson Square among the pigeons.

Used to have this thing at Hollywood Forever cemetery in Southern California where they’d show old movies on Saturday nights in the summer.. you’d bring ur own picnic baskets, some people went all out bringing tables and whole setups.. anyway, it was cool b/c you’d watch these old movies as youre actually sitting on the graves of the old school actors.. like, one time they showed the Maltese Falcon and we were sitting near Bogart’s grave, or something like that.. not sure if they still do it , but it was always a hell of a good time and really unique .

The large cathedrals in Europe are filled with graves of famous people. I’ve seen DaVinci, Michaelangelo, Dante, Galileo, Shakespeare, Stephen Hawking, a few others that are escaping me. Pretty crazy experience.

There are a lot of cathedrals that claim to have famous people in them. More than in Florence claimed to have Galileo and DaVinci. Maybe they split up the bones.

Some of the ones I've visited:

St. Peter
George Washington
Robert E. Lee (and Traveler)
Stonewall Jackson
Andrew Jackson
Red Eagle (William Weatherford)
Duane Allman
Barry Oakley
Wild Bill Hickok
Calamity Jane
Hank Williams
Elvis Pressley
Buffalo Bill Cody

Been to Florence. There are several churches that claim to have DaVinci, Michealangelo, Galileo, and others. Not sure how many of those claims are real.
