You are trying to say that tranquilizing an animal and relocating via a truck is some crazy thing to do and cost a lot of money?

Like they have trucks or money in south africa.

Trophy hunting implies the meat going to waste for the sake of a trophy

No it doesn't. It implies that the main reason you hunted that animal is for a specific reason, whether it be antlers, age, or some other trophy indicator.

People may waste meat because they only sought the trophy, but trophy hunting does not imply the meat is wasted. Waste is just a stigma that follows trophy hunting, because that is sometimes the case.

I've seen deer that were by no means trophies with only the backstrap cut out of them. So waste is not exclusive to trophy hunting.

It absolutely does. Otherwise it's a harvest with a trophy animal.

Same to me what exactly? I'm not the one admitting to eating meat but having an issue with hunting.

Jesus man... just chill. We get it... you're super passionate about trophy hunting vs. sport hunting vs. just hunting...

Where are you getting these concrete definitions that you keep arguing over? Most people disagree with your defining of trophy hunting

Nah.

The guy I'm thinking of I mostly knew and hunted with him before he got high up at Exxon.

You're defining it as if the meat is always wasted. It's not.

Trophy hunting is targeting a specific animal for a specific reason. The meat may be wasted, it may not.

I would love to see the proof that this particular old giraffe killed 2 nonsterile ones in their prime or actual proof that it was a nuisance to the town. To me, that just sounds like a bs excuse someone came up with once they were getting shredded in the media. What did they do? Follow around this thing watching it 24/7 wreak havoc on its environment? Lol.

Seriously, if they put out proof it would be a lot easier to swallow for most

What kind of a-hole shoots a giraffe?

what kind of a-hole joins the outrage of something that was completely legal and ok to do? oh i know... the one whose agenda feels like the only agenda that is right and good. frick everybody else if they do or say anything against what your own self righteous arse thinks is right and good.

as someone who makes his living in the outdoor/hunting industry and always have, i dont see whats the big deal. different strokes for different folks. is it something i want to do, no, not really. am i against it if its what someone else wants to do, nope. as long as it was right and legal, ethically done, taken care of etc. let it rip. live and let live. theres a shite ton of things people do all the time in all walks of life that i think is dumb as hell, but you know what, who cares...

It's not a concrete definition.

So most people believe the purpose of trophy hunting is to waste meat?

I think ducks taste like shite but I like to shoot them

So I shoot them and give the meat to people that need it

Does that make me Robin Hood?

A.) I am not driving 2.5 hours to laugh at a beta
B.) You want to spend money to relocate an animal when they can get paid a lot of money. Good luck with that.
C.) You still never answered my question: Ducks, deer and rabbits are now predators?
