Be sure to incorporate the "If I" tactic when negotiating.
I recognize that sales tactic! Works great when attempting to purchase a vehicle!

Does LSU dental have a clinic in BR? Get students to do them

Check with orthodontic school
I am in Jacksonville but going through it with my daughter now. $6k for orthodontist close by and $2500 to take her to Jacksonville university dental school. The students already have degrees they are just working on specialities and have instructors checking behind them every so often. It's an hour drive across town but price makes it worth it

~5K. They will usually take 5% off that if you pay the whole bill up front.

Is this not the same thing as Invisalign?

Have bought 3 sets and used 2 different orthodontists. First 2 kids used Vance Misuraca in Prairieville although he has a BR office as well. Excellent work on both. Had insurance which paid about half but it was 6K each total.
3rd child used Brian Hollis in Prairieville because he is a family friend and was not in town when I did first 2. Also Excellent work and about 6k (although I got a bit of a break given hes a friend).
I know Fruge is very good as is Steve Sherman. Good Luck.

Why you getting braces? I thought you were a grown arse man baw.
Common myth, my wife got braces at 46, her orthodontist had patients in about every age range, oldest at the time was 74. People develop bite/TMJ issues as they get older, many older people have cosmetic issues that have bothered them for years because their parents could not afford braces when they were kids.

I believe they do have a clear aligner product, but they also have a fixed wire application that uses robots to bend the wires much more precisely than any doc ever could. Allows the to get it done in 14 months or so and with clinically proven better results.

Paid $4k for Invisalign last year at Bluebonnet. Been a great investment. Grew up poor and my parents couldn't afford braces. So yeah I'm an adult with (Invisalign) braces.

Braces are a whole different deal from what they were 20 years or so ago. They start out with this metal thing put in that you crank every few days etc, then go to braces or at least that's how I understand it. My two are in the middle of the process now and it's running me about $3,500/ kid after insurance covered their part. I wasn't aware my insurance was going to cover it and my cash price was going to be approx $6,000/ kid. I will say this my kids are already really good at spending my money, it's always something and it's always x 2
