If you follow their logic, they should also keep out the obese, elderly and blacks. They are higher risk.
Maybe we should all wear giant condoms.

Every business has a right to handle things how they see fit. Customers can make their own choices, too. There should be no right or wrong there. The government Forcing people and businesses to follow a mask policy is what’s fricked up.
GTFO of here with that common sense shite.

Since I don't have a mask, I will not be going to Costco
You don't have to wear one if you have a "medical condition" and by law, they cannot ask you about your condition.

Please see above. I'm not making any blanket statements, but I can connect the dots somewhat.
That said, the few grocery stores I've been in since this started, have been already doing somewhat similar. Not the mandatory mask thing though.

Is Costco doing it right, or are they overblowing it?
The people that were going to shop there anyway won't care but those trying to limit their number of shopping trips and would prefer a place that makes them feel safer will choose Costco.
So Costco is likely getting more customers and higher spend visits.
Sounds like they are doing it right from a business perspective.

Went about a week ago and it took much longer than usual to get in and out. I’ll be sticking to the smaller grocery stores til this blows over.

I think they are taking the steps they feel will make their customers more comfortable, which will allow their customers to wander around the store and buy more stuff.
Seems like it's smart business sense to me. Also, since they sell memberships, people may be more willing to try them out and buy a membership if their friends and neighbors say those steps make for a better experience.

Can you link multiple people calling Costco fascist?

I went to Costco Saturday... it was surprisingly quick and easy, I was expecting a clusterfrick. They were limiting meat purchases and were out of disinfecting supplies, but I found toilet paper.
About 50/50 on mask wearing.

I appreciate their efforts, but we just instacart from there. Just a pain when I need booze and can't get it from there.

The sentiment is clear in here and the other threads about this. Don't be obtuse, rog.

BTW is Home Depot and Lowe’s really an essential place to be open right now????????
Home Depot and Lowes both sell plenty of items they are obviously "essential"
I don't know why people continue to freak out about Lowes and HD being open
All hardware stores are open

Requiring a mask on the downside of a pandemic after not requiring one the whole time. Some real virtue signalling brainiacs.
