One one hand I’m glad that these idiots get rid of things I can fix and use, but it just boggles my mind. And we wonder why savings are at an all time low.

Cement mixer. Guy across the street bought it new. Used it once to build his kid a playset and put it out on the street. I don't know if I will ever need a cement mixer but damn it I got one

My old pit was going to shite. Auto light didn’t work anymore and constant flare ups and some rust. Was researching another pit to buy. My wife calls me one evening while riding her bike and tells me about this “Nice 3 burner stainless steel pit with a side burner and the propane tank still inside it,” at the road. I’m thinking it’s a rusted out piece of shite, but I’ll go get a free propane tank. It’s only 3 blocks away. I get there, and this thing doesn’t have a lick of rust on it. But it’s fricking big and heavy. I dropped my tailgate, took the propane tank out, and leaned it back against my tailgate, picked up the bottom of it up and slid it in on its back into my bed.
Next day I hooked it up to my propane tank and all 4 burners turned on immediately with the auto light. Cleaned it up and it works perfectly. Saved me $500 from the one I was looking to buy.
