Imagine being colder than you ever have been before. It’s colder than that.

I lived on the north side of Chicago for a short time. The city itself is very nice. The neighborhoods to the north along the lake are also very well kept. I felt safer in the city of Chicago than I do in New Orleans.

No idea what it’s like to live there, but it’s the greatest city I’ve visited (though I haven’t been to New York yet). The layout of the city is fabulous, and there’s just so much to do. Love it.

Lived here over half my life. It's ok.

Only exception to the OP is we rarely eat deep dish pizza.

Has more crime than the Middle East. Good luck living with liberals there.

It’s not a blue collar working man’s city. If you want to live in a decent area, you need a high paying corporate job. The nice areas are desirable, the shitty areas really shitty. I lived there 20 years and the only thing I really miss is my friends.

If you live in the Burbs, getting to the city for anything, a pro sports game etc is a royal pain in the arse.

Chicago isn't shite compared to New York. Los Angeles is the Second City now. Chicago is just a war zone.

Except there's only about two posts in the three page thread that do anything close to that. (And, yeah, I call bullshite on the guy who claims to have witnessed three shootings "in the Loop" on a single weekend trip. ) But you get em Sparky!

The irony being the poster right before you referred to it as a “war zone.”

But I actually like the nickname Sparky, so we’re cool.

And all three came after I said “get ready.”

I’m starting to look prophetic.

Although admittedly I’m impressed with the OTs grip on reality tonight. At least in this thread.
