This is fricked up. I only work because I have to. Work will never "come first" for me.

Why does the bitch need to take the car to get it replaced? Every damn windshield replacement company "delivers" these days.

You definitely don't wear the pants. Your wife tells you what to do and when you don't you run off like a little pissy dog with his tail tucked.

You're right in the grand scheme, you just didn't use any finesse in making your point. Sometimes you gotta soften up your approach when you're dealing with the ladies.

You committed to something a week in advance then cancel on her last second.

1) She should know that people can come to you to fix your windshield

2) You should know that people can come to you to fix your windshield, and should have suggested that when she asked you to take her.

3) There are better ways to respond to your wife than the way you did. Again, should have suggested Safelite as they come to your location.

4) Sounds like y'all are having marital issues. Either make an effort to fix that shite quick, fast and in a hurry, or she is gonna be takin some dude's log the entire time you are away on business.

So the wife has been telling me for about a week, don't make plans next Thursday. She's planned on getting her windshield replaced and needed me to take her and drop her off. I got an e-mail at 4:30 pm from a client yesterday, needing me to come take a look at some work today.

I get home, she says you have to wake up early and take me to the glass place, and I say no I'm sorry; I have to go look at a job in Arkansas tomorrow. She gets pissed. Says "No, you're not. You have to take me in the morning." I fire back with, " you see this nice house in this nice neighborhood? If you want to keep having these things, you'll understand that I have to work and that it comes first." She and I say a number of frick you's and I end up in the guest bedroom. Am I in the wrong?

The fact that yal got in a "fvck you sleep in the guest room" fight over a replaced windshield when you could have:

A. Had them do it at your house

B. Had her take a $15 Uber

makes me think yal are dumbasses.

Maybe this entire thread is like a focus group concerning Safelite's new marketing campaign.

I can see the commercial ending with OP and the Mrs. Yelling "f**k you!" at each other while OP slams the guest room door ... Dramatic pause ... With the tag, "Shoulda called Safelite".

Jodi - (I'm working at the glass place since the oil/gas crisis)

It doesn't matter, I'm sure y'all will get over this soon. If things escalated like that over a windshield appointment, I'm sure y'all argue like this regularly.

I'd definitely take this as sign y'all need to work on communication though. Y'all are young, plenty of time to work on it.

We really don't fight a lot. Sometimes I feel like the sacrifices I make benefit both of us and she doesn't recognize that. But when she frames stuff as in I don't have a choice, that's what gets me pissed.

I agree that you have work shite to take care of, but you probably shouldn't have said this. You could have instead helped her find alternate arrangements. You sound like a complete dick

For sure.

Just assumed if something as small as a windshield appointment caused a fight like that, that it probably wasn't the first time.

I'd definitely work on communication going forward though.

Yeah this was my thought. I dont think you are wrong but I dont think you should have stated that work is more important. In the female brain she is thinking you are saying that work is more important than her, not the windshield.
