Evita
Unfortunately it was all too much for her and she had to bail halfway through the show.
Ziegler bails in middle of show... understudy gets standing O
Back hair unavailable for comment

Home girl is about to be uninsurable and therefore unemployable.

I read that they did the “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” part to the people outside on the street that didn’t pay for tickets and made the paying audience pay watch it on screens at their seats.
Some equity crap about allowing those who can’t afford the tickets to view some of it.
It seems like some out on street could afford it but just choose not to go.
EDIT: That was also mentioned in article linked in OP.
I don’t think these people are poor or living on the streets. People get so full of themselves with social justice mentality and make actions into something that it really isn’t. It’s probably more marketing, but it sucks for the people actually paying for the performance and didn’t know that they would not see the most famous song without viewing it streaming on screens.

But after opening night, Zegler sparked criticism from some critics.
In the production, she performs “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” from a balcony overlooking the street outside the venue.
Paying audience members are forced to watch a livestream — of the show’s biggest song — on a screen from their seats.
“I’m excited to see her, but not sure how I feel about paying that much to watch the most iconic moment on a screen,” one viewer penned on X.
Another social media user called the move “a bit of a rip off” and blamed production.
“Sorry, are you saying I’ve paid that much for 2 tickets and she’s singing the biggest number outside at people who haven’t paid?” a third person chimed in.
Not everyone was upset by the strategic move, however. Some pointed out that it benefits those who could not afford to see a West End show.
“Absolutely stunning idea and a beautiful symbol – while the rich sit inside the theatre watching from the screen, Evita is outside on the balcony of the theatre addressing all those who can’t afford to go to the theatre and/or are living on the streets of London,”

Imagine telling your boss that the product he wants you to sell is not only complete dog shite but you tell everyone, including your customers, that you hate it.

Eh, the scene is "supposed" to be outside on a balcony. If we removed the bullshite it would be an interesting creative choice but I also see why people on the inside of the theater may not like it.
In any event the choice worked, people can't stop talking about it.

So is Romeo and Juliet, yet they somehow managed to depict a balcony inside.
Literally a "balcony scene"
You know
For the paying patrons.
Novel concept

The play or musical is supposed to take place in Argentina, so should they move it down there ??? Or is that part of the bull shite?
Building sets and pretending to be outside and on a balcony or pretending to be anywhere except on a stage acting is usually part of all live plays and musicals.
It may have just been a choice, but it appears to be more of a cheap marketing ploy at the expense of the paying customers while making some think it’s social justice for the poor and homeless to view, which is actually also more marketing and bullshite.

Very good way to explain it. I see her pics every now and then in other social media pages, and at first I'm like damn, who's the hot chick. Then it's like my brain adjusts and she starts to look homely.

Use Duck Duck Go and it blocks all the ads and pop up crap. Or use a free ad blocker app. It’s unreadable without one of those two.

I don't like to talk bad about people, especially people's appearance, but i do from time to time. That being said, in that picture she has this chipmunk face thing going on.

They copied the street walking bit of the recent Sunset Blvd. revival. It's a bit that absolutely everyone loves.
We're also just supposed to ignore that Evita has been a well-reviewed hit, and that Zegler's performance, in particular, has been praised. This article was written by someone who is either ignorant of stage musicals, or, more likely, was using alarmist jargon just to piss people off, regardless of any adherence to truth.
