OT travelers, need some help

So looking for some ideas for a quick trip in Europe. A buddy and I, single mid 20 yr olds, will be finishing up work on a Fri in Paris and will be flying out of Amsterdam that following Thurs evening. Trying to figure out where we want to go with such a short time. We are hoping to get finished up early enough on Fri to catch one of the last trains out. With the time frame and those locations where would you hit?

When is this happening? What Friday?
Obviously start somewhere outside of Amsterdam and end in Amsterdam. I have some ideas but would be better to know what time of the year this is.

You could take the chunnel to London, spend a few days there, then take a quick flight to Amsterdam. There is also a lot of stuff to do in and around Amsterdam.
Flying within Europe is insanely cheap, so you could go just about anywhere. Check out skyscanner.com, put in your dates and departure city, then click everywhere for destination. You could probably fly almost anywhere in Europe for less than a hundred bucks.

Take the Euro star to London, spend a couple nights there then catch a Ryan Air or EasyJet flight to A-dam.

This is in three weeks, trying to keep the budget reasonable but we have $ to spend.

I've never been to either but I would go somewhere in the Baltic or Balkan regions if I were in your shoes. Or spend Fri/Sat/Sun in Reykjavik and the rest of your time in Amsterdam.

Sounds like he wants to stay in western Europe, save the Batlics or Balkans for the summer time. Iceland doesn't make that much sense either especially this time of year.
That and he said they want to stay on budget flying all the way to Iceland and then back to A-damn and then back to the states. Not to mention Iceland is expensive as frick.

Thats not really true, especially when booking last minute. Those budget airlines also do not fly out of major airports. Most of them fly into rag tag places about 45mins to an hour away from the city.

Well looks like I will be on my own tonight as my buddies have work tomorrow. I am either going to go into Pairs tonight or tomorrow and buddies will come meet me tomorrow evening. Any recommendations?

I'd take the train to Dijon. From there if you want to move on, down toward Lyon all the way to Avignon. Avignon is an old walled city with amazing little cafes and beautiful streets. Cannes is close at that point, and you may as well. That would make for one helluva trip.

Were going in the spring to Paris to Zurich to zermatt. It's $75 for a flight from Paris to Zurich. London will be kinda expensive too FYI and I'd recommend sticking with somewhere that had the euro.

You can have fun just about anywhere. I was recently in Tromso, Norway and even though it's a small place, there is a university...so bars and women.

You could take a train into Belgium, go through Bruges and Ghent. Both are beautiful cities with a lot of history. Then You could stop at Rotterdam and the Hague. It is only about 1 1/2 hour train ride from there to Amsterdam.
Another cool thing to do if you like really good food is look for the Michelin star restaurants. They are littered all over France, Belgium and Netherlands in little, out of the way places, and usually not as ridiculously priced as their US counterparts.

Munich is awesome but also kind of expensive. If you want to hit up somewhere close to Paris and A-dam then go to Frankfurt or Koln. Both good party places. Frankfurt is a very modern and clean city. Koln is just bad arse.
