Flamenco Beach in Culebra is a nice spot.

It’s PR so It’s foreign travel lite. Not sure how the hurricane left things there, though.

avoiding tourist trash (INb4 "you're trash!"),

Somewhere across the ocean some Euro is asking how to avoid typical American trash on beaches abroad.

We're all trash.

Charter yourself a catamaran with a captain and a chef and sail around the British Virgin Islands.

Did a small island resort in Thailand some years ago. For under $20 a day, we stayed drunk and full. Wonderful.

Tokoriki Resort - Fiji Sugar Beach Resort - St Lucia

Expanding on this:
Both are two flights away.
Tokoriki: MSY-LAX-NAN, then a boat ride
Sugar Beach: MSY-MIA-UVF

Both have all inclusive options and private villas. Get your own private section of Beach at Tokoriki and an unbeatable view between the Pitons at Sugar Beach. Tokoriki treats you like family and is almost exclusively couples whereas Sugar Beach will have more families.
