Hey OT, just picked up a running buddy and we were debating on which is better for sprints and then long distance.

I've always breathed in nose and out mouth, but there are apparently many arguments for one or the other.

What's really the best way?

ETA: we probably need a fitness board.

I mix it up. For some reason I can't just breath thru my nose or just thru my mouth. I do a lot of gasping...

In the nose out the mouth at the start and progress to mouth breathing as the run prolongs.

Both I guess. Never really paid much attention to it. I'll start now.

Just pull air with your belly not your chest. Should be good as long as that occurs. Make sure you exhale completely to release all co2. It's usually not a matter due to lack of o2 supply but a build up co2.

You haven't evolved to point where you can breathe through all of the pores of your skin? Get with the times, Baw.
