Pretty much the only reason I bring my music with me. Can't stand that shite.

Not to mention safety.

Had the exact same problem. Got a nice set of buds from Best Buy (JVCs ~ $30) with the interchangeable ear clips on them and they work great.

Changed the way I do cardio.

Gummy earphones. Like 7bucks a pair, they stay in and work great.

I hardly actually listen to music. It ends up messing with my breathing cause I'm focusing on the beat/rhythm, especially if my mind starts to wander and go into cruise control. It's mainly for my lap time/mileage. This is why I will probably go the cheaper route. I just can't justify buying $100 buds (as nice as it would be) to listen an app tell me something maybe 3 or 4 times.

I recommend Bose sport earbuds because they're not noise-canceling. You can still hear people talking and cars barreling down on you. I bought these at Bestbuy because I didn't realize they also came in black.

This. I never understood why people run if they have to have music to avoid being "bored".

or to each his own. I put in a lot of miles each week and listen to music when I run. I usually have my music with me when I'm racing but rarely have it on (primarily for safety reasons if the race is crowded) - but it's nice to have just in case I want to hear something at any point during the race.

to the OP, I'd suggest looking into some Sennheisser headphones. The Yurbuds are ok, but they didn't stay in my ears as well as the Sennheissers did.

I upgraded from skullz to yurbuds a while back. They're still cheap but better quality sound and they stay in my ears while running or lifting. Buy the ones that wrap around your ears

I like the older version of the kind that came with the iPhone. Don't care for the new model.

I tried some that wrapped around the ear and hated them.

I had the same issue. Buds kept falling out, the wire was bouncing all over the place. It was a huge distraction.

Bought these, and I forget I have them on while running. Only $9

Skullcandy is garbage just FYI.

All earbuds I've ever had have stopped working due to sweat within 6 months probably,...

Except my Klipsch S4 headphones; put them through hell and they're still good as new 2 years later, and were only $40.
