I would probably just give him a talk and ask questions like :
What made you decide to this?
How did you think it would play out?
Did you think of any negative outcomes?
After listening I'd remind him the school's are filled with overzealous teachers who freak out over the tiniest things nowadays. Hell, some of the parents do this as well.
Let boys be boys as long as they do no harm to anyone else.
