Cops are going to shut you down

Even if the SAH order is lifted for May 15th, there will still be large gathering limits

2 Pages in and the OT hasn't been able to deduce what this is yet? I'm disappointed. I guess everyone is resting on their laurels of pissing off that legislature broad.

. We’ve made the posts asking people to social distance while on the beach.

How the frick do you realistically expect 1000 people to all keep 6 feet of distance from person to person?

bullshite.

Was there the other day. No one was out there. Beautiful as hell. Nearest people were at least 200 ft away from each other. Rode four wheelers down there with the little kids and everyone was spaced way apart. On by the vehicles could something be said and that's off they all went to get in their cars at once.

I plan on going back on my next hitch off

have you ever been to Holly Beach? It’s huge. Can you spread 1000 people out over a million square foot of sand? (3+ miles by 50+’ wide) if we used every inch of it, each person has a 1000sqft of space to stay on.

have you thought about calling the local Sheriff to ask what y'all need to do to not get shut down?

we definitely won’t be canceling. I was curious what the outsider opinion would be.

That didn't answer the question. You really think that many people are going to do that?

Don't care I just think it's amusing.

they released their statement around the same time as the phone call. I think they’re putting the ball in the Police Jury’s court and basing it off the current SAH ending on the 15th.

What is the nature of your event?

I can understand spreading 1,000 people across all the beaches of Cameron Parish, but typically an "event" is going to be concentrated in one area. And as such, I don't see how you can socially distance that big of a crowd.

If you are going to have this event, I would expect the cops to be all over it, looking for every tiny infraction they can find to cause trouble.

Why not just push it off a couple of months?
