What was your dad thinking bringing you at 3 years old? I went to see them in '77 at the Centroplex and I was in the 8th grade.

Thats the concert. The guy who said 78 was off a year.

My parents didn't have a babysitter I guess. A bunch of parents caravaned and brought a shite load of kids from Village St George. Is that bad? I turned out okay.

it had to be either december 1977, or august 1979...they didn't play in baton rouge in 1978...i was at both those shows with my uncle because he wanted pictures and i had a 35mm camera...i was also in 8th grade at the time.

Yea the K&B date stamp on pics from the concert are in 77...

Anyhoots. Was a different time back then. Kids in the 70s slept in cars while parents drank in bars and shite.

Definitely CEBA

But now we get to be the first generation of old farts that will never forget that the student union is on Raphael Semmes.

I don't mind Nicholson Ext. becoming
S. Quad (Goals) though

Yep. All of your examples. + I was in town the other day and made a run to Delchamp's on Bluebonnet.

Not BR, but I can't call the drug store on Broadway and St Charles anything other than K&B.

Did you know that the Concrete Man used to sit in front of a concrete place on Airline hwy not too far from where the old drive in theater used to be, before it was moved to hwy 42.

The old Sports Illustrated will always be Sports to me. Young’ns know it by Reggie’s, and they don’t know what the hell REGGIE was.

Wow. Never heard that one. I’m going to use it. Far superior name to Perkins.

I was there. 3 years old. I actually remember seeing the big fire balls on stage and my mylar balloon my dad got me.

Mark me down as another that was there.

Me, my dad, my uncle and cousin. I was 5, my cousin was 4.

Not long after that dad took me to Spencers and bought me a 4' x 6' poster that stayed on my wall for at least 12 years. I also still have my dads copy of the Destroyer album he bought when it came out - listened to it a couple of weekends ago.

Never Monroe because the city said they were satanic and refused to let them play the Civic Center. Also turned down the Stones to rehearse there for the '75 tour that started at the PMAC for the same reason - satanic.

Yep, and Bon Marche is still Bon Marche, Goudchaux’s building is still Goudchaux’s, and until they come up with more memorable names for the bridges, they’re still going to be old bridge and new bridge.
