Do you still say things like Centroplex, Ryan Airport, Assembly Center, etc?

Nah it's the convention center in BR. It was redesigned and rebranded. Catfish Town was right across the street though.

Saw some great shots from the air featuring the old Municipal airport and the start of development down Goodwood. Tara was still open land.

Give it a few more years and much of Baton Rouge north of Florida will be returning to open land. I wouldn't be surprised if half of the commercial buildings are now empty or dilapidated past the point of return.

Catfish Town is now the Atrium of the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino. What a waste of that space.

Of course, Downtown Airport, aka Independence Airport (park)

The hanger is still there as indoor tennis courts

Yep, my grandfather told me that a B-17 crash landed there once.

It was after the war so instead of trying to fix it they had tore the wings off, cut it up and trucked it out.
