Now that people are actually having to deal with it I bet moving the parish seat finally gets the votes. All after pissing away that FEMA money away for the court house.

It’s ridiculous to have a courthouse there.
I keep telling you people to stop attempting to judge Louisiana as a state in the U.S.

Only consider it one of the better Banana Republics and it will make more sense and keep you from applying logical & civilized expectations on it.

Not sure it was that close but it was very close. The East Bank called in all of their chips for that one.

Yep. That place took a beating in Rita (I think that was the hurricane...)
I stayed in Lake Charles and drove down there for the hearings.

Nah. I’m on the civil side.

34th JDC >>>>>>> 25th JDC. It’s got a snack bar and close to many great donut shops.

This is a joke. They almost made me turn around bc they couldn’t break a $20 for the ride. They took .80 I had in my cup holder.

Bring ones for the ferry and titty bars.

Not necessarily. Ever hear of an exception of improper jurisdiction/venue?

Court house is nice. Huge court rooms. May need more parking.

If you are not a PP lawyer and your opponent is a PP lawyer, then jurisdiction/venue is per se proper. La. R.S. Home Cooking.com.

Built them big in anticipation of oil/gas legacy lawsuits being heard there?

And as far as the ferry... yes exact change. Same as the Chalmette / Lower Algiers ferry.
