Absolutely not. There is no situation where someone who rightfully owned a vehicle whould have to return it to the people who previously possessed the stolen vehicle.

BTW Surprise, Surprise the original investigator that I was dealing with hasn't called me back.

Of course not, since he is likely a player in this somehow. Would be awesome if this turns into some giant illegal ring that's busted and makes national news. At this point I'm hoping for as much chaos as possible within the story.
And Jesus, people need to be patient. Eitek will update the thread once he can. All the "WELL..????!?!" type posts are annoying.

If it were in my hands this would be concluded. I may have something to post tomorrow. If I don't have some action by Thursday afternoon, I'm going to have to take some action on my own.

I’ll just throw this out there. The Wrecker lady sent ANOTHER notice last week that the bike is being “abandoned” and is going up for auction next week. Also, she tacked on 1500 dollars in storage charges. Most of the time she charged for, the bike was in my possession.
Yes... I have the motorcycle. Crazy, right?
Just wanted to add that the USPS lost the cease and desist letter I sent via certified mail. THEY LOST IT

Is there any chance the auction will be broadcasted via internet? Would love to tune in.
How in the ever living hell can anyone auction off an item they don’t legally possess?
Plot twist: Eli and a few of his ex special forces comrades walked into the shop locked and loaded, secured the bike, and dared the shop owners to challenge their reconnaissance mission.
I can’t wait for the big picture. I fully understand why some women are addicted to soap operas.

I told the local investigator the same thing. He said “ she can’t do that, she has to actually possess the motorcycle”. I asked him “who’s job is it to check that the folks that file for abandoned vehicles actually have the vehicle”. He said “no one”. I asked “do you still believe she actually has to possess the motorcycle to follow the abandonment process if no one is checking”? He said “no”.
