I don't know why, on my screen it's showing all the brands. If you go rooting around, you'll find a link to all of the holiday tool kit combos. It's for all the major brands.

holiday tool kit combos
I already bought one of those and brought it back. They are all low ah batteries with brushed motors.

Check new link.
My combo is the xr combo. Brushless, 4ah li-on batteries.
Same for other brands, their top of the line stuff is $150 off with the purchase of an additional tool.

Sure thing. No matter what color you like, that's a pretty good deal.

think i'll check this set out.
I see it's 3.0 ah which is plenty for me. I don't need anything bigger and it's on sale for $289.00. I can also get $100 off a skill say that i can use so all together i'll be under $300 for a hammer drill, bit impact and skill saw.

I would look up all of those part numbers and compare before buying. With the dewalt, there are a lot of different part numbers for drills and drivers. They are all different, but look very similar.
Just be sure you know the difference before pulling the trigger. Offer is good for the next month...

If you buy a Milwaukee fuel for $399 from HD, you get $150 towards a tool or battery. You can pick up a extra 5.0 ah battery or another fuel bare tool.rhe fuel kit comes with 2 5.0 ah batteries.
Milwaukee also has a brushless kit that is cheaper. $299. It's not the fuel though.

Some general observations, without regard for the OP's limitations, having sold power tools for both Lowe's and Home Depot:
Dewalt sells fine products across the board. They are very popular with contractors for their reliability.
Milwaukee is also popular with pros. Their reciprocating saws are the best on the market.
Bosch also makes solid, powerful tools.
Ridgid has an exclusive contract with Home Depot. They offer good deals on their equipment. Excellent stuff.
Likewise for Kobalt and Lowes.
Makita is Japanese made and also very high quality. Great power for a lighter weight drill.
If I were a pro using the equipment constantly, I would probably go with a Milwaukee or Dewalt. Reliability, battery availability, ease of use would be considerations. Any of the other brands could work based on the buyer's performance needs and budget.
Personally I own a Makita, for one thing it charges in 20 minutes, so I can get it ready quickly if it has been sitting on the shelf for a while.

Yep... It takes $150 off the total sale. It gets prorated between the combo set and bare tool or battery

Completely agree. I bought a Ridgid. Good drill, great warranty, and competitive pricing. Love it but definitely wish I had the impact drill combo.

If Ridgid still offers the lifetime warranty (including the batteries), go with them. I have a set and they have been great. Plus when they break, I can just go trade them in at Home Depot.
If not, I'd go with Milwaukee. I believe their warranty is 5 years.
ETA: Milwaukees are definitely the most powerful I've used. My friend has the set. If not for the Ridgid warranty, I would have went Milwaukee.

So you know that a lot of contractors get buy one get one free tools, right? I have a framer buddy that gets like 5 free guns a year because he buys so many buckets of nails

I used to be all Dewalt, now I use all Makita, but I like Porter Cable and Milwalkee and those will be next. Though my 2004 Dewalts are still going strong, meanwhile I'm on the third set of Makita batteries.

The Milwaukee fuel tools are the best IMO. Their whole line of fuel tools are awesome.
If I was buying, I'd get the fuel and then use the 150 to get the fuel impact wrench or the fuel sawzall. You'll have to pay a bit extra but they are awesome.
If you're buying a 3.0 ah dewalt set, I'd rather buy the brushless Milwaukee set for $299. I think those come with 4.0 batteries
