Congrats

I have never had one.

Closest was a double eagle on a par 5.

I believe what you did trumps a hole in one... I would imagine a lot fewer golfers have experienced a double eagle than a hole in one!

any other OT'ers have one or more to their credit?

i've had a lot of short tap ins but never a hole in one.

i do have a few eagles, but that just isn't the same.

Congrats!

I've never had one but on the old #9 at Hinds Community College course I hit the cup on the fly, the ball bounced out and landed about 6" away.

Have a friend that hit a ace at Baton Rouge Country Club, couldn't make a big deal out of it because he was supposed to be making sales calls.

I've got two. One when I was 14: 4 iron-about 180 yards. And one two years ago in a tournament: 9 iron about 150 yards.

eta: I'm about to turn 29, so there have been many a round played over the last 15 years to get that second one.

Well you're right...he did have 17 "honest" witnesses to his 11 aces in one round.

Wow, odds of a double-eagle (or albatross) where you ace a par 4 or make a 2 on a par 5 have been estimated to be over a million to one. A hole in one on a par 3 is estimated to be about 13000 to one for the average golfer.

Another oh so close experience. 500 yard, dog left left hole. Hot August day....300 yard drive to the curve. 210 yard 3 iron to the dang lip of the hole. Still.....I'd rather have a hole in one.
