OT Gentlemen: What are your thoughts on the Infiniti Qx50?

Looking at a new vehicle for myself. Thinking about the QX50. Have a white collar job, so no need for a truck. But I also don’t want a car. Looks like a nice midsized vehicle for 35-40k

What’s with the proliferation of car threads on this board lately?

This doesn't make sense. You have a white collar job, so you don't do manly things that require a truck?

Cool cars, quick, athletic, fun to drive, my main complaint about modern Infiniti has always been their dated interior tech and design. Maybe that’s changed with the brand new ones, but idk if you’re looking at brand new.

I like the new design.

Such as?
I have an infiniti and love it. Great features, a ton of power and performance, can have it serviced anywhere which means less expense...

Nice if you like a Nissan, I don't

You do some work every 5 years to make yourself feel manly and pay 70k for a fricking truck?

You’re better off with an Acura or Lexus if you don’t care about driving dynamics.
Only reason I’d ever get an Infiniti is if I absolutely had to have a big engined RWD car. But that’s what the Germans are for too.

Don't understand the point of those tiny SUVs. Sedans have better actual utility, are cheaper, drive better, and get better gas mileage. If you want an SUV, get one. Not that.

Well he’s not spending your money on it do let him get what he wants. How do the sedans have better utility?
I don’t care for the midsize SUVs that aren’t SUVs, and I don’t care for Nissans.

Is your husband buying it for you?

Love the OT and the shitting on Infinitis.
Wife has had a QX60 for 6 years. Still looks and runs great. Had the CVT issue, but was fixed. Only issue with the vehicle. Plenty of space for us and the kids. Drives great and has nice power.
I have had a Q50 for 2.5 years and love it. Solid, fast and handles well and has nice finishes (as does the wife's ride).
And because they are Nissan vehicles, they are much cheaper to maintain.
