I'm doing a group project in my Material Selections class (ME 3752)...

We're analyzing a propane stand (materials, ratings, improvements, etc.)

My question for you all is:

What are some qualities customers look for in a propane stand?
(e.g. High BTUs, Sturdy, Dependable, etc)

Also, what qualities must the propane stand have in order to carry out the customer requirements?

(e.g able to withstand high temps, high strength-Young's Modulus, etc)

I need 10 of each and I'm bone dry right now.

It must be able to carry itself.

Self-propelled is the most important.

Obviously, your first thing should be safety. Imagine worst case scenarios and design it to fail in to safe situations.

A gasoline powered self powered propane stand would be my first requirement. I'd like it to have a place to hold my beer too and keep it cold. I can throw a Yeti sticker on it to spruce it up so don't worry about a fancy paint job.

See if you can fit more volume in a smaller can.

GL in the ME senior design course by the way, you have to do some absured shite and take very harsh criticism during the process on top of massive documentation

You should just let a contractor do all the hard work for you while you just simply walk up on the job site and ask a frick ton of stupid questions like you've never touched a tool in your life

The same customer service they are used to from a lemonade stand.

Take Bit Coins for payment and never make any ethnic slurs while scooping out your propane sundaes.

Holy shite, I did not know this. I was about to seriously rag on that class. I feel bad now.

Honestly, that whole class was about using his little table to weight which properties were important. The properties you chose to use as "important" were very subjective and Raman often just chose what he thought was important. Was actually very frustrating, because it was just random. I can't tell you how annoying it was to deal with that class. Feel bad talking about it this way, but I have a feeling good that was all due to Raman, so you may have better luck.
