You can literally have luxury or a GTR....

GTR or this shite, GTR all fricking day long

Exactly.

You'd sacrifice 0.6 in the 0-60 but you get a track-ready car.

Lol calling a GTR a rice rocket.

There's a bar. The GTR sets that bar.

Enjoy your pos Dodge. Hope you got an extended warranty

Applaud them for doing it, however the dirty secret is that FCA doesn't have money for a proper refresh so they keep doing stuff like this to keep the Challenger relevant.

Every mechanic I work around will need to change their drawers after they see this thing. In their mind the 1/4 mile is the end all be all of car performance.

I just can't wait to remind them that I can go spend $105k and have a brand new street legal car with a warranty that will blow the doors off that 70's piece of shite they've dumped $90k in over the past 20 years.

Kind of like when the GTR transmission would grenade when using launch control? That kind of warranty?

0-60 in 2.3 is impressive but I don't understand the appeal of a barely street legal dragster.

Some people like track cars, some like drag cars. One is not right nor is the other wrong. It's like one guy liking baseball while another likes basketball.

The Shelby GT350 still looks better, drives better, and is the better track car.

With the massive lead up they did for this car, I expected a little more to be honest.

Word is with high octane fuel and a factory approved ECM unit the motor will reach 1000+ horses.

Never made the claim it was better. You GTR ****s are all the same. Like vegans that can't STFU about not eating meat.

No, but if I'm going to drop that kind of coin, I don't think it will be on an out-of-the-box dragster.

It's just a really odd niche vehicle. Is it a dragster you can drive to the grocery store? I don't know.

At least with a modern track-ready car you can get more practical use out of it.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Go watch the intro video. They spell out in clear detail that this car was not designed to be anything other than a muscle car specifically designed for drag racing.

I know a guy with a hellcat. He's had like 3 or 4 engines already. A couple of them were under warranty. He drives the crap out of the car.

I'd buy a mustang or camaro before I got one, but the performance of these new cars is pretty unreal.

The nhra bit is funny. I think once you hit 10 in the 1/4 you need like a full roll cage and all that jazz just to run.
