I've carry two cell phones. Its not a burden to carry two in a computer bag.

The work one is only for work emails, work text, client interactions, etc. Work phone gets put on silent during off work hours.

The personal one is for tigerdroppings, porn, etc. You know the stuff you don't want your IT team to be able to access. Any shite talking about the company or management with my fellow employees is done over the personal phones.

Carry both pretty much all the time during the week. Not so much during the weekend, but check the work one every couple of hours or so on weekend.
Also this. The work phone stays in the car, it doesn't go on the party barge. It stays in the condo, it doesn't go on the beach. Etc etc

I work remote for a company out of Utah and I'm in Tennessee. I wish I had two phones. I hate that outside agents are constantly calling my personal phone. I stay home most of the day, so it wouldn't bother me to have two. Plus when the work day is done I could just put away the work phone, but instead I'm getting 24/7 emails and call on my personal and it annoys me.

My "office" phone with their area code is just forwarded to my cell. You could ask them to do something like that if you don't want two.

OT Execs - Two cell phones?
I just took a position with an out of state company and they want me to have a cell phone with their local area code. I am one of only two remote employees at this company. So they just shipped me an Iphone without discussing it with me. I am a bit hesitant to rock the boat and bitch about the phone during my first week on the job.

How do y'all handle this? Carry two phones all the time? Carry the work phone only during business hours? Forward the phone and emails to your personal phone or vice versa?

I really don't want to give up my local phone as I have had it forever. How is this handled in the modern business world?

Based off of this post, I think you aren't smart enough for the job you just got.

I do hate the fricking self important douchebags with two or three phones.

They come into a meeting usually with a gay executive backpack and plop all three down on the table.

It's like the new school version of the douchebag from the 00's with a bluetooth earpiece in all the time loud talking in restaurants and at happy hours like he's making huge business deals or ordering his minions back at the office like Ken Wins.

These people deserve to have the angel of death pull the plugs on their ventilators on day 21 of their covid convalescence.
