If I remember correctly, they WAY overspent on the building and were pretty much too deep in the hole to recoup from day one. That sparked a rash of things going wrong from lack of PM'ing their equipment, having enough cash to keep beer stocked full, to paying quality staff. The snowball started rolling down the hill as costs rose and it created an avalanche that finally did them in. The food was never that great either.

The new ATC laws have been giving them shite recently (Cracking down on the private events and the food trucks that setup in their area).

The ATC seems to have relaxed a little, they had a food truck set up for the Haze Hunt release this past Saturday. Smoking Ace's serves food there pretty regularly as well.

When you are one broken hot water heater away from losing the business I’d say maybe you should look in the mirror and question your business ability.

How do you know when the hot water heater is broken?

Hire someone to survey the building's electrical, AC and plumbing systems before you buy a building would be a start.

Where in midcity would they open and with Rocca Pizzeria opening on government. I don't think this new Rotolos would fair too well.

There was a Rotolo's on Government at Foster, but there appeared to be some construction going on there last time I went by. Not sure if their plan is to reopen under the Craft & Crust concept.

I was thinking of the sign at that site, but now that I think about it again, I'm pretty sure it's another Lit Pizza, not the Rotolo's C&C.

But I get the vibe that the marketing agent in town (I don't want to shite on them by name) gave them a bunch of millenial buzz words to use and they ran with it.

Passed by last night at 7pm it was dead. And that area was buzzing with college student activity(I went to Winn Dixie) in other establishments.

I understand as a Baton Rouge native that you want your love of chains to just be a big lie, but you fell in love with a chain before it was a chain. It's like you people are attracted to the smell of franchising.

Ha Ha fricking ha. Ruth's is awesome and I love Fleming's. I don't care how many of them they build.

I've been to Rotolo's C&C twice now... both on Friday nights.

Once was pretty early, like maybe 6ish, and it was pretty slow when we got there but filling up by the time we left.

The other time we got there around 7 to 7:30 and had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table. There were a lot of college kids and a lot of couples with young children.
