With all due respect to Gavin, Pelican house had a different menu every time I went in there.

One of the problems with this place was that it didn't know what it was nor what it wanted to be. Constant changes to the menu, sometimes it was closed for parties, sometimes it held art gallery events, sometimes it had live music, sometimes it felt like city bar downtown, and sometimes it felt like a sports bar.

I could never accurately describe this place to anyone that had never been there, because it had no identity.

It's a damn shame too. I did like going there and having drinks with a couple friends. The atmosphere was pretty good when it first opened, but the wait staff drastically deteriorated as time went on, and it eventually become a very somber place to hang out, which is what you don't want in a bar.
