You didn't mention where you are located. If you are in Baton Rouge, take a sample of the brick to McConnell Brick on Choctaw. If anyone can match it, they can.

Have you had someone from the local brick company come out. Find a salesman that's been in business a long time and you will get some information and probably find the brick. Good starting point, I would do some serious leg work before settling on a brick that didn't match

Cedar shake (spelling?) siding might look good with that style.

You can also try cocreham brick in BR.........ask for Chris.

He had a bunch of old mismatched brick in his yard that he gave me for a job a couple of years ago.

I've seen brick that had been "painted" with some sort of a wash. It was a sort of dark grey wash, but it was very translucent if that makes sense. It was subtle and looked good. It was nothing at all like painted brick. If you can't match the brick you could get as close as possible and then do something like this to blend the two different bricks.

Is there nowhere on the house that you can take some brick from and replace with another material...(i.e. inside of a carport that you could replace with sheetrock) or something like that?.....

I'm in Texas. I don't really like "New Texas" house styles. That's how I ended up buying an older home. I just find I can't live with tiny bathrooms and closets anymore.

I'm in BR a couple times a month though. So any recommendation there are welcome.

They have plenty of brickyards in Texas. Just take that picture, pic a few samples and make your contractor do a mockup.

If you want here as was mentioned Gary McConnell, Chris Cocreham or Michelle at Ecomony Brick in Gonzales.

You can get pretty close from that pick I see. Your mason needs to pay attention to his color pattern as he goes to try and keep the different shades as uniform as the original area.
