120k? I understand it’s location dependent, but on average, what’s the salary?

Tree Fiddy a day ironically equals $127,750/year.

So that.

Location, size of the firm, type of law, equity partner, etc. Need details and pics of wife/gf/mom to make true determination.

"Junior partner" is not some measurable standard, its meaning varies wildly and is defined by the firm. Some places make almost everyone a junior partner so that clients believe they're being handled by someone important. Others may begin to get equity. So coming up with an average is impossible.

I know a guy who had an offer from a firm in Memphis, TN, of all places.. and the salary was $100k a year, which as they explained to him, would be like making $180k a year in New York City.. so, even though he was top of his class at Harvard law, he accepted the job in Memphis.. but then he noticed a lot of shady ish going on with the firm, they bugged his house and were listening to he and his wife’s conversations, all kinds of creepy stuff.. eventually, he found a way to escape the firm and got out of Memphis.

Exactly this. And, these days, so many firms throw out the term 'partner' or 'member' or whatever and it is fairly meaningless if you aren't getting an equity interest in the firm.

Can you make it rain? If no, then you are worth nothing to them. Anyone can run the photocopier.
