This is the rational common sense way of thinking.
However, because people get their feelings hurt and the optics of it, based on how many black folks are incarcerated, liberals would then turn the program into calling it it modern day slavery and indentured servitude to the government so we can’t do that

You are right about DeSoto county. I live in one of the best towns in Ms and that is Hernando. Wife and I brought our home here 16 years ago and we love it. There is a tight race for Sheriff here between a white guy Mike Lee and a black candidate that a lot of people like. I have not decided yet, but both promised to protect county from thugs from Memphis

I hope this man rots in hell.
Pharmacy workers are threatened by these types on a daily basis. They always want to pick up their narcotics earlier and earlier. Tell them no and they flip out. Surprised there are not more incidents like this.

exactly the proper medical protocol.
Orthopedic surgeon likely ordered diagnostic testing to objectively delineate if the patient was a candidate for surgery. Once the patient was at MMI (maximum medical improvement), Ortho would provide a medical release to return to work with appropriate restrictions. If the ortho felt pain management was necessary, he would have referred the patient to a PM doctor. Most big ortho clinics have a PM doctor on staff along with their own pharmacy - all the money is kept in house. another possibility - the disgruntled patient/murderer was released to RTW at full duty. He was hoping to get a permanent and total doctor release so he could apply for social security disability. The patient chart and office visit progress notes will confirm Dr. treatment recommendations.
