I am going to go out on a limb here and say the police can go ahead and say this guy IS DEFINITELY armed and dangerous.

i guess she was off duty?
No idea. Obviously in uniform since a citizen told her Loyd was inside. Maybe she has a desk job and was picking something up on her way into work.

Article says she was the department liaison to the City Commissioner. Admin job.

yeh I questioned it b/c she was unarmed. Kind of surprised she would try to stop a guy wanted for murdering his gf without a weapon.

I doubt this ends well for Markeith. He will go down in a shoot out when they find him. They are expanding the search right now so they don't have a pinpoint on him yet.

i hope he is killed rather than taken into custody

But shoot him in the knees first

that works for me...beaten to death would be even better

Yeah, this dude will be dead by the end of the day. He has no regard for human life. He will do anything.

The article said the officer was unnamed not unarmed.

Call me a sissy I don't care, and I am confident I have more experience with guns than the average patrol officer but no way I'm approaching a suspect wanted for murder on my own. Why not un holster your weapon while waiting for back up to approach the suspect? Very unfortunate situation.

Markeith can still turn his life around. Give him fifty years and some prison college course work.
