Ordering a suit online

Quick question for the OT suit gurus -- I just got all of the measurements professionally done by a top notch tailor. If I order a suit online with all the measurements, what's the likelihood I'll need to get it tailored?
And is suitsupply the current go to suit store?

I mean it will likely be passable, but you're going to need it tailored in person to fit you perfectly

I just shelled out $500 to get a bunch of suits/dress shirts tailored. I was hoping to avoid shelling out more $ for tailoring

I have gotten suits from some Hong Kong company where these dudes measure you up here and send everything there. You only need it pressed when it gets sent to you.

I have two from separate orders and am very pleased. You can normally get them for about $400. A friend has ordered 2 as well and been pleased.
I also have a suit supply suit in the London for which I don't think they make anymore. I like the suit better than the indochino but I tried 3 suits from suit supply and the other two were pretty skinny. I'm 6' 180 and a 40r. I like my clothes slim/tailored but the Washington and Napoli were far more trim than I was looking for.

Returns were a breeze with suit supply also. You can always order a few suits from them and check them out. Return if you don't like and order something custom like indochino.

What makes buying a suit online better than buying local? Is it only because of cost?
